"With PCP we are listening very carefully to what our customers have to say and are building cars not only for, but also with people," Luca de Meo explains, adding that this gives Volkswagen a valuable insight into the wishes, needs and demands of Chinese customers.Ī year later, Volkswagen announced it had selected three entries from the more than 119,000 ideas submitted to develop further as concepts for display at Auto China 2012: a Music Car, a Hover Car, and a Smart Key: Internet users accessing the PCP page can click their way to co-developing their Volkswagen model of the future as well as posting ideas which are then discussed and developed further by other users. "We hope to involve people via the internet and inspire them for Volkswagen," de Meo commented. These users are particularly interested in interactive content. Over 450 million people have access to the internet in China. PCP is initially scheduled to run for a one-year period. ![]() However, we also see potential for launching the project in other markets as well," Luca de Meo, Director of Marketing, Volkswagen Group and the Volkswagen Passenger Cars brand, explained. The platform is debuting in China, because that is Volkswagen's largest and most important market. From today, Chinese internet users can post their ideas about the car of the future on the "People's Car Project" (PCP) platform at "Volkswagen has set out to create the most innovative dialogue platform ever with the 'People's Car Project'. Simply unzip it to your Cyberpunk folder and away you go, into the skies. I'd recommend the 'packed' version, which includes all the other bits this mod relies on to work. So the rideable trains mod I tried last year was a welcome new way to see more, and this is even better.ĭownload the mod from GitHub. I grew up with Judge Dredd's Mega-City One and exploring Night City is the closest I've come to that yet. I barely drove anywhere when playing Cyberpunk 2077 the first time, instead running around on foot to drink in the atmosphere, dashing down alleys and parkouring over rooftops ( like Siobhán Casey). I wouldn't say I'm good at flying under either of the flight models available (hover and drone) but I have very much enjoyed zooming around Night City, picking up a few scrapes and dents along the way. With the press of a button, the wheels are replaced by directional jets, letting V take to the skies and zoom around. With Jack Humbert's Let There Be Flight mod, every car and motorbike (as far as I've found, at least) gains the ability to hover. In regular CP2077, NPC hovercars are zipping about but V is stuck on the ground with wheeled transport. ![]()
